Jessen Shah

Jessen Shah is Energy and Climate Policy Manager at the British Embassy in the UAE where he leads the embassy’s diplomatic engagement on energy transition, climate finance and green growth.
He works with governments, investors and industry to strengthen UK & UAE partnerships across these areas.

Previously, Jessen was the UK Ministry of Defence’s lead on climate security and international engagement on climate and sustainability. He also served in the UK COP26 Presidency team, helping coordinate the pioneering $8.5bn South Africa Just Energy Transition Partnership. Jessen has represented the UK at COP26, COP27 and COP28, and holds a Master’s degree in Environment, Economics and Ecology from
the University of York.
