Dr. Nabih Cherradi

Dr. Nabih Cherradi is the CTO at Desert Technologies, a Saudi group. He has over 34 years of experience in semiconductor and photovoltaic technology, covering equipment engineering, production line design, and industrial management. Before joining Desert Technologies, he founded EmpowerSun in Switzerland, providing consulting in PV technologies, and co-founded ISWT in France for solar project development. As Vice President and CTO at Yingli Green Energy, he contributed to the company’s global expansion and IPO on the NYSE. Previously, at Applied Materials, he directed turnkey installations of semiconductor and solar cell production lines worldwide. Earlier in his career, Dr. Cherradi was Associate Professor and Researcher at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, focusing on advanced materials for microelectronics and energy applications. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and an MBA from Nancy, France, serves as Executive Committee Member of ETIP PV in Brussels and advisor for Global Network for Zero in Washington DC.
