Hammad Rabbani is a senior executive with more than twenty years of experience in renewable energy, battery storage, district cooling and structured finance across the Middle East, Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. He has raised and managed over USD 3 billion for solar, wind and BESS projects, and has led financial close on some of the sector’s most complex transactions, including North America’s largest battery storage financing and multiple tax equity and project-finance deals with global lenders and institutional investors.

Hammad is the Managing Partner of Burj Energy Storage, where he leads the firm’s clean-energy investment strategy and the development of a USD 500 million energy storage fund based in the UAE. His work covers project origination, bankability structuring, EPC and offtake negotiations, and capital stack optimisation for utility-scale assets.

Before this role, he held senior positions at AES Corporation USA, GE Capital, Tabreed and Northland Power Canada, where he delivered large-scale acquisitions, Energy Storage project, refinancing transactions, district cooling concessions, and IPP developments from feasibility through financial close and COD.

He is a Chartered Cost & Management Accountant and has completed executive programs at Yale University, Darden Business School and GE’s global leadership programs.
